Striper report June 1
The stripers are in! We are starting to see good numbers of schoolies in Casco Bay!
Fly fishing report:
Water temp as of June 1st: 55 degrees at Spring point with very clean clear water. There is a little bait buzzing around the bay, herring and what I believe are small shrimp. I have heard of a few mack's kicking around but nothing confirmed as of yet.
Look for schoolies feeding on mud flats and the edges of drop offs, there seem to be a few nice fish mixed in with the normal 16-19 fish. The go to fly this weekend seemed to be a medium clouser or small deciever - chartreuse and white as well as olive and gold. June stripers can be picky as they are still moving north to their summer home. The key to constant success is finding water 55 deg or better and drifting around the edges of the flats.

Good luck, tight lines and let us know how you do on our social media pages!!
